- ➤ The Rio Rancho Police Department will host a free citizens academy starting Feb. 17 for local residents and business owners aged 18+ — with 30 spots available. It will meet every Tuesday night from 5:30 to 8:45 p.m. for ten weeks, featuring K-9 and SWAT demonstrations, ride-alongs, and dispatch sit-alongs. KOAT
