- ➤ KOAT announced that native journalist Miguel Marquez will join the Action 7 News More in the Morning team as co-anchor starting January 26 (he will be on Channel 7, KOAT.com, and the Very Local app). Marquez brings nearly two decades of experience from CNN and ABC News to deliver local news. KOAT
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department began accepting state income tax returns electronically on Friday, Jan. 16 through its Taxpayer Access Point to speed up refunds and improve filing accuracy. Taxpayers can file types of returns, including personal and corporate income taxes, at no cost using this free system. KOAT

- ➤ The Toughest Monster Truck Tour runs today at the Rio Rancho Event Center with a pit party from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and the main show at 3 p.m., featuring trucks like champion Dirt Crew, Blockhead, Dozer, Maximus, Jurassic Attack, Velociraptor + a freestyle motocross team. KOAT
