Roadrunner Foodbank said cuts to federal funding removed 24 truck loads of food that would have provided about 4 to 5 million meals for local families—VP Katy Anderson noted $1 million in funds were lost in March when federal food programs were cut.

Donations now cover only 25% of the food distributed, compared to 75% in 2014, as the food bank faces a tight budget and rising costs.
