CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Santa Ana police officer named Kristofer Martin was arrested for aggravated DWI on Thursday night after Rio Rancho police stopped him in Corrales Heights during a welfare check and he admitted to drinking three shots before his breath test registered 0.16 & he was taken to the Sandoval County Detention Center while remaining employed with his department. - ➤ Rio Rancho saw a 16% drop in reported crime from 2022 to 2024 as offenses fell from 8,681 to 7,283—declining in both violent and property crimes. City officials said increased police funding and specialized units helped keep the city safe as its population grew. Sandoval Signpost
