- ➤ City leaders announced that a new pro hockey team backed by REV Entertainment will begin play in October 2026 at the Rio Rancho Events Center—an arena that has long run nearly $3 million in annual losses from hosting sports and concerts. Mayor Gregg Hull said local investors hope the new team will boost revenue and drive shared profits through a third-party agreement. KOAT

- ➤ Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham announced the creation of the NMexus Center in Albuquerque to guide overseas companies in expanding in New Mexico — the center will serve up to 40 businesses a year and is expected to create nearly 100 jobs this year and up to 1,500 in the next five years. Partners from India and Oman have joined the effort, and a delegation from companies in India and Ghana will attend the official opening — officials say the new center will boost economic growth.
