- ➤ The New Mexico Department of Health confirmed the first measles cases in Sandoval County today, involving an adult with unknown vaccination status and an unvaccinated child under 4. Officials identified exposure events at the Presbyterian Rust Hospital Emergency Department in Rio Rancho on April 30 from noon to 5:30 p.m. and May 11 from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Hematology/Oncology Clinic on May 1 from 2 to 4:30 p.m., at Trader Joe’s in Albuquerque on May 6 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and at Ribs Hickory Pit BBQ in Cedar Crest on May 10 from noon to 3 p.m.—they advised anyone exposed to check vaccination records and seek care if symptoms develop.
