- ➤ After a Sandoval Signpost article raised concerns about a homeless encampment near the Intel plant, city crews swiftly filled a large hole and repaired a wall — a cleanup that led to a noticeable drop in encampment activity. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ New Mexico’s largest electric utility, owned by TXNM Energy, was announced for acquisition by Blackstone Infrastructure for about $11.5 billion on Monday, but state regulators in New Mexico and Texas must approve the sale. PNM said the merger will keep the utility in New Mexico—local management and employees will remain—and the deal will provide funds for a carbon-free energy transition with finalization expected in the second half of 2026.
