HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Health officials reported four measles cases in Sandoval County in the past week+ showing that the outbreak is affecting New Mexico’s largest metro area. Rio Rancho Observer
- ➤ Health officials are now recommending an early measles vaccine for children aged 6–12 months in Lea, Sandoval, Doña Ana and Curry counties to protect those most at risk as cases rise in Sandoval County—clinics are offering free vaccines with no appointment necessary. Officials stressed that children under one are more severely affected and urged parents to get their children vaccinated promptly. Sandoval Signpost
