- ➤ Today, the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions announced a $500K boost for the Northern New Mexico Youth Fund to support internships, pre-apprenticeships and career pathway programs for underserved youth aged 13 to 29 — the fund now totals $1.6 million with support from 12 contributors. - ➤ Sandoval County Commissioners held their regular meeting yesterday at 6 p.m. in Bernalillo where they honored Peter Madalena for 25 years of service and Roseanne Gomez for her 34-year tenure as she prepares for retirement at the end of June. Commissioners also heard an update on local agricultural and youth programs from Brittany Johnson and voted on a legal services agreement with Holcomb Law Offices for employment and labor matters. - ➤ The Rio Rancho City Council meets today at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers—in person and virtually—to discuss plans for a new Automotive Technology Building, review ordinance changes for alarm systems and subdivisions, and consider budget resolutions including a state grant amendment for intersection improvements and a cleanup plan for 1873 Blackberry Road.
