Here's your local news at a glance for Monday, the 14th of July.
Good morning, Rio Rancho.
Today, drivers on Interstate 25 between Montgomery Boulevard and Comanche Road will shift from inner to outer lanes as part of a construction project.
Crews will close some lanes from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. over several days—three travel lanes will remain open during the day while the work zone speed limit is reduced to 55 mph.
Re-pavement work starts today on Lomas Boulevard between University Boulevard and Girard Boulevard and will last for 90 days—city officials say traffic changes will be minimal due to planned lane closures and recent repairs on the east side of Lomas.
The project follows a laser scan inspection done every three to four years and was delayed by construction at UNM Hospital.
