- ➤ State police say Silver Alerts will now appear more often on cellphones after residents in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties received an early alert for missing Jose Lujan, who was later found deceased in his car in Socorro County on Wednesday. Authorities are working to update the alert with clearer messaging and digital road sign displays — urging residents to keep notifications enabled for a timely emergency response. KOAT

- ➤ Rio Rancho now hosts a state-of-the-art indoor pickleball facility open year-round at Hilltop Plaza along Highway 528 near Southern—featuring 18 cushion courts, a pro shop, café, and memberships for players of all skill levels.
