- ➤ Most children are now back in class and doctors advised parents to watch for signs of stress such as anxiety, irritability, stomach aches, and sleep changes during the transition after a relaxed summer—families are also urged to keep kids cool and hydrated by using light clothing and taking breaks during the early morning when it is safest to be outdoors. - ➤ Dr. Barry Ramo said that smokers who have smoked more than 20 pack years or quit less than 15 years ago should get a CT scan yearly to catch lung cancer early—waiting until symptoms like cough or trouble breathing appear can lower survival chances. Health experts add that early detection gives damaged lungs a better chance to repair. KOAT
