ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A single-story fire at 2911 Ervien Street SW in South Valley was controlled 15 minutes after 2 p.m. Monday (with no injuries) and displaced eight people and two pets, with four residents assisted by the Red Cross while Bernalillo County Fire Rescue investigators have not determined the cause. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ The governor has announced a universal child care program to boost our economy by saving parents more than $13,000 per child each year. NMSU economics professor Chris Erickson said the plan will grow the workforce—mirroring Denmark’s high female participation—and benefit local businesses if quality care is provided. KOAT
