ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On Tuesday evening, heavy flooding on I-25 stopped Rail Runner Express service between San Felipe Pueblo and Bernalillo and led officials to send buses for stranded passengers—Mike Recker said he faced a four-hour delay. Officials said they will update riders as they work on repairs.  KOAT

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Rio Rancho Public Schools superintendent Dr. V. Sue Cleveland—who has led the district since February 1994—has announced her retirement as the founding and only superintendent; the board will soon begin its search with her transition expected in spring 2026.  KOAT

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Bernalillo County Animal Care Services has expanded its services to Los Ranchos under a five-year intergovernmental agreement that began Sept. 11—Los Ranchos residents now have access to animal care, shelter resources, and after-hour emergency response while the village will pay $54,000 annually with a review after one year.  KOAT
