The event begins with an 11 a.m. parade from Blake Road and Isleta Blvd — judges include local media representatives — and continues with outstanding citizens' recognition at 12:30 p.m., local performances, and food trucks through 4 p.m. KOAT
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Rio Rancho Public Schools announced the opening of RioTECH, a new high school that will serve up to 250 students in grades 10 through 12 by offering free college-level career tech courses and hands-on labs — including welding, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC and electrical — in partnership with Central New Mexico Community College. The school will open for the 2025-2026 school year and aim to prepare students for skilled trade and technology careers. KOAT
