If you have family or plans in the Four Corners, here's where San Juan County stood Monday. Officials told people within a half mile of the Animas, La Plata and San Juan rivers to evacuate, and they said they “haven’t seen the crest yet” on the San Juan and Animas. The Animas breached its banks south of the Broadway Bridge.

Sandbags are at San Juan County Fire Rescue Stations 11, 24, 42 and 62, plus the Lee Acres substation, Hills Church, Bloomfield MOC, Wildhorse Valley and Harper Valley. Aztec city officials are asking for conservation because the sewer system is strained.

  • Farmington zone: Cedar St. to Murray Dr., Broadway to Auburn Ave.
  • Chama: village officials issued evacuations late Sunday night
  • Offline: sewer lift stations in Kirtland and Aztec

The Wrap

Dozens of dogs in costumes, fur dye, and special accessories paraded through the Sabana Grande Recreation Center on Halloween Saturday for Día de los Perros y Gatos. The city of Rio Rancho hosts the annual event, inspired by Día de los Muertos, to honor pets who have crossed the rainbow bridge and help shelter pets find new homes. Good dogs, all of them.
