If you live in Sandoval County, this one's close to home. The county commission declared a flood disaster at an emergency meeting Tuesday, Nov. 3. KRQE reports that roads have washed out and homes and businesses are threatened in the affected area.

  • Ojo Encino Chapter: lost electrical service in the storm
  • Bloomfield water treatment facility: operational problems cut supply to the area
  • Supply: may remain inadequate even after the main is repaired

The county, local fire services, the San Luis-Cabezon Mutual Domestic Water Association, the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority and New Mexico Rural Water are providing bottled water and tankers. The resolution also lets the county accept state and federal aid.

No. 22 UNM hits the road Friday to face Nevada in Reno

If you're a Lobos fan, Friday is a big one. UNM got its first football AP ranking in program history, and now it plays at Mackay Stadium in Reno.

22ndUNM's spot in the latest AP Top 25

It's the Lobos' first football AP ranking in program history.

“Being ranked this week means nothing if you lose this week and get kicked out of the ranking. So we gotta take care of our business and have great preparation to go play our best football.”

UNM head coach Jason Eck

Safety Tavian Combs called the attention "rat poison" and said "humility is only a week away." The Lobos lead the Mountain West, and their defense leads the FBS in multiple categories.
